In addition to our three core weekly programs, MTR offers one-day and other specialized programs that provide unique opportunities to connect with the healing power of horses. These services are designed to support the needs and goals of groups, including corporate events, field trips, team-building experiences, and more.

Day on the Farm
Our Day on the Farm is a unique and customizable group experience at MTR. Whether you’re a school, corporate team, nonprofit organization, or a group seeking a meaningful, goal-driven visit, we tailor each program to meet your group’s specific needs and objectives.

Most Day on the Farm events are unmounted, ground-based experiences that require no prior horse experience

Each group can choose from one to three of our core service options, with the guidance of our knowledgeable staff:

Adaptive Riding
Adaptive riding activities are limited to groups of 8 or fewer and are scheduled based on availability.

HEAL (Holistic Equine Assisted Learning)
Ground-based learning sessions focused on self-awareness, communication, emotional regulation, and team-building.

EAP/L (Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy/Learning)
Professionally facilitated experiences using horses to support mental health goals, problem-solving, and personal growth.

Equine Experience
A hands-on introduction to horsemanship and farm life, including grooming, leading, horse behavior, and herd observation.

Educational Tours
Guided tours of the farm focused on equine care, the role of horses in therapy, and an overview of MTR’s mission and services.
MTR on the Road

MTR offers off-site visits for schools, facilities, and groups unable to travel to the farm. Our team brings select herd members—typically ponies or goats—to your location for structured, staff-led interactions. These visits are designed to provide accessible engagement while upholding the same safety and care standards followed on-site.
Summer Skills Weeks
MTR’s Summer Skills Weeks offer seasonal programming tailored to participants of specific age groups and interests. Each week is designed to provide meaningful, horse-centered experiences in a supportive, engaging environment. Our three unique offerings include:

Summer Celebration
A fun-filled week for youth, focused on riding and horse-related activities.

Life Skills Week
Designed for adults with disabilities who want to apply their knowledge of horses toward a group project, building skills in communication, organization, and public speaking.

Adult Equestrian Skills Week
Provides adults with disabilities the opportunity to develop riding and horsemanship skills in a structured, supportive environment.
Reinbow Rides

Reinbow Rides is a meaningful, heartfelt, and special riding experience for individuals living with a terminal illness. This mounted session provides a gentle space for connection, joy, and freedom in the saddle. It’s a chance to create a lasting memory with the healing presence of our horses.
Para Dressage

MTR is proud to be recognized as a United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Center of Excellence, a designation that highlights our commitment to advancing the sport of para dressage.

We offer educational programs and clinics designed to develop future dressage athletes in a supportive, education-focused environment. As part of this commitment, MTR also hosts events for athletes to receive their para-dressage classification and participate in skill-building clinics.
