MTR’s services use the healing and therapeutic power of horses to improve the physical health and well-being of children and adults with physical, emotional and developmental disabilities.
Our riders also include veterans and wounded service personnel dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, depression, anxiety, and amputation.
MTR uses the healing and therapeutic power of horses to improve the balance, strength, muscle tone, self-image, self-confidence, and quality of life for individuals with special needs.
This program is designed to teach individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or emotional challenges the skills necessary to ride a horse. Instruction is provided by PATH Intl. certified instructors. The minimum age to enroll in our Therapeutic Riding program is 5 years old.
Private occupational, physical, or speech therapy sessions with licensed therapists who are specially trained to incorporate the use of equine movement to facilitate a specific treatment outcome. The minimum age to enroll in our Hippotherapy program is 2 years old.
EFP is an interactive process in which a licensed mental health professional working with or as an appropriately credentialed equine professional addresses Mental Health and Behavioral Health goals through activities with horses. The minimum age to enroll in our EFP program is 8 years old.
Equine Services for Heroes
Provided at no cost to veterans, active duty military personnel, and first responders who have been injured in the line of duty, participants work with our specially trained horses, staff, and volunteers to gain emotional, cognitive, social and physical benefits from our equine assisted activity and therapy programs offered on the farm.
MTR offers two weeks of summer camp for MTR participants to enjoy a fun filled week of fun in the sun while gaining riding and horsemanship skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Day on the Farm
Specially scheduled event that is open to any group interested in experiencing and learning more about the wonderful world of horses. MTR can accommodate groups of 8-20 participants for two hours for this event. Education and Mentoring
As a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Int.) Premier Accredited Center, we are proud to offer PATH approved workshops in addition to those we have developed for continuing education of EAAT professional and those seeking the various PATH credentials and mentorship towards certification.
