Leadership Team

Kelly Rodgers joined MTR in 2008 and instantly felt at home—from her first drive down the long entry road to the deep connection she found in MTR’s mission. Starting as Program Director, she became Executive Director in 2020, leading the organization with heart, strategy, and an unwavering commitment to healing through horses. With a degree in Equine Business Management and a lifelong love of horses, Kelly brings both experience and passion to her role. She thrives on working with MTR’s dedicated team, creating a safe, empowering space for participants, families, staff, and equine partners.

Linsey Erar joined MTR in 2015 after relocating from Hawaii, where she worked as a Special Education teacher. Looking for a welcoming and professional center to continue teaching adaptive riding, she found MTR and knew she had found a home. Linsey has served in multiple roles, including Instructor, Program Assistant, and Volunteer Coordinator. As Director of Programming and Education, she supports families, participants, and providers to ensure impactful service offerings. She finds constant inspiration in the strength of MTR’s participants and the adaptability of the horses who serve alongside them.

Jessica Mitchell first came to MTR in 2015 as a volunteer with a longing to reconnect with horses. What started as a simple desire to help quickly grew into a deep commitment to the mission, leading her through a range of roles—from Barn Lead and Instructor to Volunteer Manager. In her current role as Director of Operations, Jessica ensures that the behind-the-scenes systems at MTR run smoothly, allowing programs to thrive and participants to receive the best experience. She finds joy in the teamwork and heart that fuels every aspect of the farm and is inspired daily by the connections between people and horses.

Katie Streett first volunteered at MTR in high school and returned in 2009, drawn by her love of horses and a growing interest in equine-assisted psychotherapy. Over the years, she’s held many roles—from Instructor to Program Manager—and now leads MTR’s mental health initiatives. With a master’s degree in clinical counseling and a lasting relationship to horses, Katie blends therapy, teaching, and program development. She loves watching the unique way horses unite with people and finds deep meaning in MTR’s supportive, authentic culture.

A former competitive hunter-jumper rider, she was drawn to MTR for its powerful mission—blending equine-assisted services with uplifting local lives. With over two decades of nonprofit experience in staff, volunteer, and board roles, Lisa is passionate about building relationships and expanding awareness of MTR’s work. She is continually inspired by the stories of transformation she hears from participants and families.

Chrissy is an AQHA buckskin mare, born in 2001, who showed in western pleasure before joining the MTR herd in 2008. As the most veteran member of the MTR herd, she has served participants across all programs, offering steadiness, wisdom, and a deep sense of trust. Chrissy inspires people to pursue careers in equine-assisted services. She is a trusted team member for her participants, providing safety and patience while remaining free to be fully and authentically herself. With decades of experience and an intuitive understanding of her role, Chrissy is a four-legged member of the leadership team because of her expansive expertise in this field.
